Exploring Ancestry:  A Journey of Discovery

Always curious and drawn to the exploration of consciousness, I’ve ventured into many paths: world cultures, religions, spiritual teachings, and the depths of personal growth literature. Yet, something kept pulling me back to the idea of lineage, the unseen threads that connect us to our past. This curiosity led me to explore epigenetics and hereditary conditions, ranging from medical to artistic traits. I became fascinated by the idea that we have so many layers within ourselves that need exploration.

It wasn’t until I stumbled upon the concept of how we can unconsciously bring hidden information trapped in our unconscious to our awareness through various means, such as art. From doodling to creating a song, they all express hidden messages of our souls.

Then, I learned about family constellations and the studies behind them. Somehow, it all clicked. How can we explore these familial connections in a more relaxed way, from the comfort of our own safe space?

I felt a bit discouraged about the art part, to be honest, since I’m not an artist in the traditional sense. My paintbrush skills are far from polished, and my doodles are usually just that—simple, unconscious scribbles on the edges of school notebooks and now working agendas.

Yet, I felt a spark, an intuitive nudge telling me there was something here worth exploring. To be honest, I sometimes feel self-doubt about my artistic skills when comparing myself to my artistic family members. However, after years of self-healing practices, I realized that those doodles I used to draw as a child, which had been dormant, came back to the surface stronger than ever.

No, I am still not the next Picasso, but I am willing to practice this calling. I wonder… what if those scribbles meant something more? What if, through the act of painting or creating, I could tap into a deeper understanding of myself, one that stretches beyond my own experiences and into the realm of my ancestors?

So here I am, planning a workshop to explore our family lineage through art. This decision came from a place of personal curiosity and a desire to understand how the past shapes our present. In my own journey, I’ve noticed patterns, certain behaviors, emotions, and even recurring challenges that seem to echo something beyond just my own experiences.

I started to have this growing sensation: Could these be reflections of something older, something rooted in my family history? Are you curious about it too?

If yes, feel free to learn more about our upcoming workshop called Roots of Awareness.

Until a next one…and until then..stay mindful, stay curious, and stay inspired!
